New analysis prepared and released today by the American Hospital Association (AHA) shows that tax-exempt hospitals provided $100 billion in total benefits to their communities in 2017 alone, the most recent year for which comprehensive data is available.

The AHA is pleased that HHS will be distributing additional funds from the CARES Act emergency relief fund to hospitals serving rural patients and hospitals serving high numbers of Medicaid and uninsured patients, as we have urged.
